The Chief minister of Punjab, Amarinder Singh, has said that the brazen lies uttered by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Badal against the Congress government are clear signs of desperation. The fear of losing in the upcoming elections is making him say such superfluous words for the competitor.
Mr. Amarinder said that the Congress government does not need referendum to endorse the work done in the state by it. He also added that Punjab knows Akalis had done nothing but completely ruined the state in the 10 years of their misrule. He insisted that Badal is panicking and giving such speeches and ridiculed him over ‘no development during the Congress regime’ comment by saying Badal does not even understand what is development and what is not. “Sukhbir, you do not even know the meaning of development,” he said.
Mor. Amarinder pointed out that Congress has done much better work in 2 and half years of their regime over what SAD and BJP have done in a decade. He questioned Sukhbir’s imagination capability and said what Congress has done in half part of its regime Sukhbir is incapable of even imagining it, let alone making it come true.
Badals are just power-hungry menace, Amarinder said in his speech, and for them every election might is a referendum, which they need to justify unlike his party. For his party Congress, he said, their work is referendum in itself. Amarinder pointed how incapable, liars and power hungry the Badals are that they have achieved nothing in a decade they were given to serve their state Punjab.
