It was a star studded affair from BJP in the last day of campaigning in Haryana. Bollywood actors and Bhojpuri singer visited places in Haryana to campaign for their favourites in the upcoming elections. Manoj Tiwari, Hema Malini and her step son Sunny Deol addressed roadshows and various programmes. People were enthralled seeing the cine stars.
It is interesting to see that on the last day of campaigning they chose Jind to campaign. The district according to the 2011 census has a population of around 166,225 and Haryanvi, Hindi and Punjabi are the languages spoken by most if the people.
Former actress Malini addressed rally for BJP’s Santosh Danoda in Narwana. She was also seen backing another contestant from BJP. Bachan Singh Arya in Safidon. Malini was seen vocal about her party in this rally and also critical of the opponents.
In her address, she said that the earlier governments have only pushed back the state in the last 48 years. She said that the growth of the state suffered due to the work of previous governments.
The actor, dancer and politician also lauded Manohar Lal Khattar’s developmental work in the last five years.
Sunny Deol who is an M.P from Gurdaspur in Punjab was there for Rajya Sabha member Birender Singh’s wife Prem Lata. She is BJP’s candidate from Uchana. While Manoj Tiwari was lending support to Member of Legislative Assembly from Jind Krishan Middha.
In his speech in Jind, Manoj Tiwari went critical about Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal. In his hitting statement, singer said that he and his party members from BJP came on earth to get rid of anti-national governments and people.
While Sunny Deol was there at road show in Uchana but he did not address any gathering. Gadar ek prem katha actor was part of a roadshow. But he could not speak even a word. It is so because the campaigning deadline of 5pm had been reached. Beyond which any form of campaign is banned by the election commission.
