Today Chasten Hamilton, 24, a Physical therapy grad student from Indianapolis, is as he puts ‘addicted’ to buying the ape as it has been the most life-changing investment for him. Trading in Ape got him 55 ether from the 0.3 Ether he invested i.e. he made an $800 investment which turned into $170,000 to $180,000.
Chasten could pay his college fees, student loans and now aims to buy a house. He got into crypto when he was all of 20 in 2017 during the bear market where he held onto $300 worth of crypto. He invested in AMC this year when he saw the runup in meme stocks like GameStop Corp. and AMC.
So much noise around the crypto investments made him skeptical about it and left him feeling whether he is out of his mind but finally he took the plunge. Fortunately every step of his worked in his favor and after scrolling through the peer-to-peer marketplace for NFTs, OpenSea, for hours together he finally bought an ape. When it got listed for three times the buying price Chasten sold it and realized the potential of the crypto investment.
