Diablo II Resurrected might get Revealed in Late 2020

Blizzard has till now announced the world of Warcraft’s new Shadowlands update for 2020. They have not confirmed anything on the Diablo II remaster front. There are various speculations going on around the same. It is being said that Diablo II Resurrected will be revealed by the end of this year.

Blizzard did not do anything extravagant when Diablo II turned 20 years old recently. There was no big in-game event, or expansion, nor the anticipated Diablo II Resurrected remaster was revealed. Sources say this was done keeping in mind the big announcement and celebration by Blizzard.

The Diablo II Resurrected news was broken by Actu Gaming’s Julien Blary. He has shared that there has been tremendous progress on the remaster’s revelation. The makers can reveal it soon or the players will see a full release with celebrations in the early months of 2021. Players are also excited for the purchase of D2 items once the remaster is released.

In February this year the Activision-Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick had shared that new remasters and re-releases will be coming in 2020. But this was before covid 19 pandemic hit the world. So one cannot be sure that they will carry out their earlier plans.

In the Q4’20 earnings call, Bobby Kotick had said that their business units will continue to tap into their portfolio of beloved IP to bring several remastered and re-imagined experiences to their players in 2020, which will be launched soon. They are currently revamping their workforce so as to solidify their 4 part plan that includes making new games, releasing mobile ports, enacting new engagement strategies, and maintaining live services. They plan to hire 2,000 employees in 2020.
