He is the first of a few high-profile DJs to exclusively carry their live streams to the platform acquired by Amazon, where he will aim to expand his streaming career as a professional DJ and radio personality.
Artists have been using livestreaming to remain close to their fans with all tours and activities grounded due to the coronavirus. In addition to raising awareness of racial inequality and Black Lives Matter in the process, celebrity DJ and producer DJ Xclusive City has now worked out a way to play for real people and fans online.
Whether he’s behind the decks or behind the scenes, Xclusive City is one of those people who simply makes things happen. An Orlando, Florida native who up until recently due to the COVID-19 Pandemic travels around North America. Xclusive City was born in Providence, Rhode Island. When he was just twelve, he began playing music and now, not just DJs on the radio at 104.5 The Beat (WTKS) and iHeartRadio, while deejaying celebrities at the biggest night clubs, but also at the biggest music festivals in North America.
At 7 p.m. UTC-4 everyday Thursday through Sunday night, Xclusive City will be streaming 2-hour sets live from Orlando, Florida. He’ll be set up right inside his home studio, so viewers from all over the world can watch on their smart devices. With his popular mix shows (i.e. for the ’99 and 2000s, Reggae Rockaz, Zouk 2 Gouyad, R&B Rewind) live on Twitch with non-stop music, he will be curating a different vibe each night. While engaging with the online audience, Xclusive City will play the new tunes as well as your favorite tracks. Featured artists and DJs will also participate in these live streams as periodic guests with live performances and interviews and the goal of the project is to share the platform with emerging artists and DJs to help develop their global visibility.
While he’s looking forward to the return of live performances – which he thinks won’t happen until some time – he’s keeping busy working out, producing songs and, believe it or not, learning how to trade in the stock market and create generational wealth.
