The Crime quota of abduction is increasing day by day. No matter what, it is really difficult to understand the psychology of these rapists. What are the thoughts that provoke them for such a crime? Can you imagine a person using fake registration plates of car to target victims, just for quenching his sexual thirst?
A Mohali based Serial Rapist, aged 32, who raped four girls and tormented more four had come up with a new gimmick to carry out the crime. He used to fake car’s registration plate each time for targeting different girls. He had a white colored car, on the back of which, a mount was positioned, where he used to foist different registration plates while exploiting the victims. Every few days, he used to return to the same location to hunt for more targets.
Inspite of him molesting so many girls and using the above tactics, no one took a notice. The highlight of the incident was the 15th April deadly incident when a call center employee of 22 years was brutally raped. As per the reports, Sohana SHO Inspector, Daljeet Singh was suspended due to their failure to file a complaint on that day itself.
A case was filed later and cops started with the investigation. They reviewed the CCTV Footage of the area around Call Center. Even after checking each and every footage thoroughly, they were unable to find anything because the culprit used to change the number plates again and again, so no suspicious activity or any such vehicle was detected.
But later, the further inspection of the footage revealed that the accused is making use of fake number plates and has a cavum fixed at the back of the car, so that plates can be easily changed, but still they were unable to read the registration number as it was not clear. After this discovery, they also came to know about the vehicle commuting regularly at that location and that too with the original registration plate. The cops, having all the proofs in hand along with the sketch of the culprit, decided to get hold of him and planned the strategy in such a manner that no loop hole is left for the accused to escape.
They made a strategy and formed a team, in which, all officers were dressed in civilian clothes. The whole team was divided at all the five arrival and departure marks of the location and positioned there. He was finally arrested by the cops on Thursday. However, his identity is still not revealed by the cops as he is yet to be determined by the victim.
