On Wednesday, United States’ Representative Jim Jordan stated that the Democrats’ insistence to impeach President Donald Trump before the upcoming 2020 elections is not in the best interest of the United States and also overlook the accomplishments of the administration. Representative Jim Jordan made this statement after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi remarked that the Democrats believe the President to be engaged in a cover-up. In his own words, focusing on attacking and stopping the president while keeping them busy away from doing what’s best for the country.
In the same vein, he also reacted to NBC’s Chuck Todd comment that the only achievement Republicans have is protecting the president. Jim Jordan went ahead to praise the president for having an unbelievable record of achievement in his first 30 months in office. Among President Donald Trump’s achievement which he listed are: reduction in regulations, tax cutting, the appointment of conservative judges to the Supreme Court (Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh) and also got the United States out of the Iran deal.
He believes all the above are great records which can get the President a second term, which is the only reason the Democrats are dedicated to attacking him. He also speculated that all the concentrated attacks on the President is a means to draw eyes away from Attorney General William Barr’s investigation into the source of the Russian probe, in the report of which he claimed intelligence officials spied on Donald Trump’s campaign team.
