Jordan Barnhill: One of Washington’s Most Trusted Realtor

When it comes to helping buyers find the right homes Jordan Barnhill is no regular real estate agent, he is someone who truly focuses on finding his client’s dream homes at the best price in the Tri-cities area. Now I know this because I’ve done my fair share of research when it comes to real estate agents and not a single one of them has the mindset of Mr. Barnhill. This is exactly why I wanted to write this piece highlighting who he is to show people that he truly is more than a guy trying to sell you a house, but a friend who does the absolute most going the extra mile every single time.

It Runs In The Family

Jordan grew up in a house full of brokers, both his mom and grandad were in the real estate game, so he was no stranger to the hustle. In an interview with Vicki Monteagudo, an established agent based out of Tri-cities Jordan mentioned that his mother was always on her phone and laptop constantly working which he did not find appealing one bit. Growing up he didn’t know exactly what he wanted to be. He went to college in Colorado and decided that it didn’t feel right so he dropped out after the first year. His mom suggested to him that he get his real estate license so he tried it out and quickly fell in love with what he calls “the hustle.” as he stated, “It’s hectic and a hustle but I love the grind you know, there’s no better feeling than meeting a client and taking them from not knowing anything about the process, and just making it seamless and handing them over the keys on the day that we cross the finish line, those are the type of relationships with clients that are going to last forever.” I found it interesting that even though he disliked what his mom did as a kid, he eventually found to love it and realized what his mom was doing was more than just selling houses but ultimately building relationships and making friends with people ultimately helping them with something so important.

Going The Extra Mile

One of Jordan’s main focuses on his deals is to save his clients as much money as possible. “The main things you want to know when buying a home is, what’s my monthly payment going to be, and what’s my interest rate? Because that’s what’s most important. Do you feel comfortable with this payment? is it within your budget?” Is something that Mr. Barnhill mentioned. I find this amazing that he focuses so much attention on what his clients can afford so that he can make sure they aren’t going to be getting a payment that is going to be out of their budget or too overwhelming. This is important because most clients will shop with their eyes and not their wallets so it becomes easy for a buyer to not pay attention to their budget when shopping for something so important such as a home. A great example of Jordan going the extra mile with a client is one time that he was working with a client and they wanted a fully decked-out daylight basement with a fridge, full bath, and a stove. He worked hours on end showing them numerous houses trying to find something for them and there was just nothing. He sat down with his coach and they came up with something amazing. “It never dawned on me that we could just have all those things that they wanted to be installed, so we connected with some trades and subcontractors and sat down to set it all up with them,” said Jordan. Putting in the extra work for his clients is what makes him truly special and way different from any other Real estate agent. These are the experiences and moments that will make him extremely far in his career.

More Than A Client

While interviewing Mr. Barnhill Vicki Monteagudo mentioned that “a realtor is not just someone that opens the door for the client to take a look around and write them a quick offer, its all these things you’ve talked about. You have their financial interest in mind, you’re a resource working within the trades and with contractors to make sure the clients aren’t taken advantage of, that’s three jobs built into one realtor.” I found this interesting because it shows the amount of effort that Jordan along with the best realtors put into making sure their clients get the absolute best house for the best deal. The response that Jordan had was even better “ I don’t like to call clients, clients they end up becoming my friends. I always build a rapport with them and it becomes way more than just selling them a house.” Something I’ve learned from Jordan is that building a relationship with your clients as a realtor is probably one of the most important aspects of the job. It allows you to further connect with them to make sure you can truly get them what they want and need.
