American rapper Romelo Harper popularly known as Mobytheplug was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has been getting his next tape ready since his first few songs were received positively by the audience. This time his tape will contain a total of 11 songs. The rapper says the songs will definitely match the hype it has created and the song will be relatable.
With the songs this time Mobytheplug wants to generate more fans from various cities so he gets a vast and varied audience. Mobytheplug started working on music when he was 14 after his father asked him to do so. His father, a gospel rapper, always believed in his abilities and encouraged him saying he has the potential to be a great rapper. It wasn’t until he was 16 that he took music seriously. But during the starting years he had to go through a lot of personal crises.
The year he took music professionally he lost 3 of the closest people in his life- his grandma, father and a cousin in the same year. It devastated him and he wanted to quit music. But he decided otherwise telling himself when his dreams are fulfilled his family will be the happiest.
Currently working independently Mobytheplug hopes to sign up with a label soon. He is inspired by dababy and rob49 the most and wants to work with other artists and producers in music projects. He hopes his music makes people feel empowered to be themselves confidently.
