As we all know Atlanta has arguably become the hub for all new music and entertainment over the past decade. Neva Failin’ has been all in the mix through this time. Along with the entertainment side Atlanta is also the home of some of the most prestigious black business owners and entrepreneurs. If your of elite you must go through Atlanta, it’s almost like an industry standard checkpoint now.
If you’re deep in the industry you probably know that Atlanta has had a surge of movies that they’ve had the honor of calling home over the past 5-10 years and Neva Failin’ definitely has his grip on the film industry throughout the process. His passion has always been music and entertainment so crossing into the film world was a breeze. He says he remembers like yesterday when he first got the call from his then agent with the news he had been selected to have a featured roll in the 2pac movie “
“All Eyez on Me” were the director Benny Boom, the casting agency Can casting in Atlanta, Demetrius Shipp, Jr. who did a phenomenal job at portraying the late great 2 Pac Shakur, and of course Clifton Powell, who transformed the movie at its onset by his character throughout the prison scenes. You’ll have to see the movie, it was most definitely one for the ages.
He then explained how surprised he was that everyone on set had a humbleness about themselves, not be ran over but a confidence that was enlightening. I understood exactly where Neva Failin’ aka Cruz ALtitude was penetrating at that moment. I then asked what was your biggest lesson taken from your experience in your first movie, maybe some advice given, he answered with “ Never give up, in life things will always come up and you must depict the outcome by your efforts and faith, you will only make it when it’s your time, and your time depends on the energy put forth towards the goal.”
