Igor Litvak is a criminal defense attorney based in Brooklyn, New York. He has served as the lead counsel and co-counsel on many high-profile cases. His role as a defense attorney in those cases has earned him global recognition. He has appeared widely in print and digital media and has been quoted extensively in a range of publications.
Mr. Litvak was born in Vorkuta, USSR and lived there for the first 14 years of his life before moving to the United States. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) from the Baruch University, Zicklin School of Business, located in Manhattan, New York. As a graduate student, he majored in Marketing Management and Political Science.
He went on to earn his Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the Rutgers School of Law, where he also served as the President of the Jewish Law Student Association. Mr. Litvak received his L.L.M. by attending the Trial Advocacy Program at Temple Law (Beasley School of Law), which was the second-highest ranked trial advocacy program in the United States at the time.
Mr. Litvak interned at the Elizabeth Law Department of Elizabeth, New Jersey after the first year of law school. The following year, he began his internship at the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office where he helped with investigating large-scale fraud cases in the medical industry. He also worked as a clinical law student at the Community Law Clinic of Rutgers University and as a law clerk for the Honorable Irene Jones.
In 2013, Mr. Litvak founded his own law firm, The Litvak Law Firm, which has grown successfully since its founding. Its areas of practice include cybercrime, white-collar crime, drug crime, sex offenses, domestic violence, assault, homicide, DWI/DUI defense and guns and weapons charges.
He is admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey and is admitted to practice in the US Eastern District Court of New York, the US Southern District Court of New York, the US District Court of New Jersey, Washington DC, and Connecticut.
