PixaHive announces ‘Online Travel Photo Contest’ with Zero entry fees

Indian startup PixaHive.com is all set to conduct an “Online Travel Photo Contest’ for photographers to showcase their understanding of nature through the beauty of their lens. The sole aim of the contest revolves around bridging the gap between photographers and bringing them under one pursuit.

The 15-days-contest is accepting photo submission now through September 5 and it will provide an opportunity for Indian citizens to share their 10 best travel photographs of all time. According to the website PixaHive.com, the submission window will close by September 20 and the entries are completely free. This is an entirely online based contest where photographers from every nook and corner could pitch in to flaunt their best talents in the field. The entries have no limitations as every age group is invited to participate with any camera; the only requirement is a good picture 🙂

The first three winners would be awarded a cash prize and other, best performers would receive a certificate of appreciation and free goodies. The startup will host an open channel for the pictures, i.e, all photos will be visible to other participants (this opens up a door to the participants which would allow them to know their competitors better).

As per the PixaHive, the website is the first of its kind where India has its own public domain photography platform for free. Startup’s founder Mr. Rohit Tripathi reiterates that the images on the site would give a tough competition to those premium quality pictures costing around Rs 10,000 per image. “Although the photos are all free and in the public domain, the Quality PixaHive is producing is at par with premium sites that charge over Rs. 10,000 for a single image,” as per the site.

The founder has also unveiled that the contest is all set to receive around 500 entries with 4000+ photographs which would initially, increase the database of travel pictures on the site (open for all for free).
