Many people lose hope when they have a difficult beginning. But that is not the case with rapper Dub P who was born and brought up in an area famous for its gang violence, Hayward California in the Bay Area. Dub P’s older brother got killed when he was in high school and the gang world sucked childhood out of Dub P. He landed in jail for a stint of 7 years.
Dub P didn’t lose hope and instead latched on this time as an opportunity to pursue his passion- Music. As a kid Dub P had listened to Tupac on radio and dreamt of becoming a famous rapper from Asia. Today he hasn’t reached the goal but is on the way. He understands exactly where he is going.
After his jail stint, he made his first song ALONE and released it. It was a good response and what followed were 5 more songs. Dub P got appreciated everywhere especially his hometown. His songs have got millions of streams and have hit records. Life has taught Dub P many lessons and he has learnt them well and translated it into his work. The artist is far from where he plans to reach but is sure of where he is going.
