Youth product from Everton Fc (Premier League), where he competed in the Youth Cup after failing to find a club after his release, he signed an 18-month contract in Morecambe in League 2 as captain of the U21’s in the 2017/18 season. The talented Frenchman impressed the Spanish scouts with his goals and skills and signed a year later for Huesca Fc in La Liga, the club’s first historic period in the top division of Spanish football since its creation in 1960.

Song was made available to the U23s to help the reserves advance through their respective leagues. Although he was an important player in the reserves, he didn’t get minutes with the first team that struggled for survival and eventually relegated to La Liga Adelante. At the end of the season, Ronny Song decided to leave and felt disappointed that he hadn’t played minutes with new coach Leo Franco. He stated in a recent Interview with VentsMagazine “ I understand the club’s position, I just feel as though in the last games when relegation was assured it was an opportunity to give place for the hungry young players to showcase themselves ”.

In 2021/22 Ronny Song landed in the BOV Premier League, Malta’s top league. Song has quickly become a club favorite, having received the number 10 upon arrival. The season has seen numerous stops and starts with several quarantines that have resulted in the forward missing games. Also with an injury that left him out for more than a month. Since joining coach Clive Mizzi’s plans in the second half of the season, an injury-free Ronny Song has rekindled the fire by becoming a regular and drawing the attention of top club scouts. Spectacular for a player with solely ( 11 games ,1 goal and 3 assists ).

Nevertheless with the current pandemic the federation could terminate the season early which would be a shame for Song’s current form.

In a recent interview with the club’s media team the highly rated youngster admitted that «  it would be an honor to represent my country someday » also admitting « I am a slow bloomer but for me the most important is to keep working and showing what I can bring to the game ».

Rigobert Song and Alex Song are members of Ronny’s family which accentuate the quote “It’s in the blood”. Rigobert, a legend of African football who was named in the XI of the century by the CAF. He holds the record for international matches with 137 calls and 4 World Cup appearances. Ranked as one of the best defensive midfielders in European football during his years at Arsenal, nephew Alexandre tallied a whopping 14 assists across all competitions in the 2011-12 season. He then joined the giants of Barcelona the following season.

Surely a family of footballers , now the latest to carry on the family flambeau , Ronny. Taking on a more offensive role than his counterparts. With clubs already showing interest it’s sure to be a busy summer for the playmaker.

Once again the talented French youngster could see himself packing his bags for a top flight club.
