Scott Cooper Miami Fan Club Profiles the Filmmaker’s Success Story

Scott Cooper has tried everything to make sure his goal to become a movie maker materialises. As long as you are passionate and willing to do hardwork you will be a success is what Scott Cooper’s story tells audience.  Copper is today a filmmaker in every sense. He acts, writes, directs and produces films. He has directed Hostiles, Black Mass, Out Of the Furnace, Crazy Heart and soon to be releasing Antlers.

Cooper trained at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and has worked as an actor in movies and television for 10 years before joining NYC Film Institute to get trained in making films in 2009.

His debut film as a director was Crazy Heart. It starred Maggie Gyllenhaal and Jeff Bridges. The film received a lot of accolades and critical acclaims with Jeff Bridges winning the Academy Awards in the Best Actor category. Plus it received the award for best original song. Not only the audience but even critics & big names in Hollywood praised and lauded Crazy Heart.

Scott J Cooper then went on to work on the script of ‘Out of the Furnace’ with the cast including Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, and Christian Bale in the leading roles. He worked on the script to give it his unique touch. He added his experience of growing up in Appalachia in it. It was an original story by Brad Ingelsby so he was given the credit for the script. Scott worked as the director and producer of the movie. He next wrote & directed a crime drama in 2015 starring Johny Depp- Black Mass.

‘Hostiles’, a western classic movie was written, directed and produced by Cooper in 2017. The successful film had its grand premier at the Telluride Film Festival.
