Self-Made entrepreneur and mentor Byron Cole, invests in the future of looked after children and care leavers with his new business venture place of Progress

Self-Made entrepreneur, Byron Cole, has invested Place of Progress; a semi-independent accommodation for looked after children and care leavers. Place of Progress is helping to improve the lives of young people by working collaboratively with Social Services and the local authorities to ensure that access to the best interventions are accessible to children and care leavers.

On the 26th November 2020, thousands of online viewers witnessed Byron announce his investment and business partnership with place of progress founder Bianca Andrews Live on his Instagram account @mrbselfmade. As a mentor and business coach, this was the perfect investment for Byron to give young people an opportunity to not only transform their lives but also to provide them with right support and development opportunities to assist them on their journey.

The start-up business was founded during the lockdown period with the first property being acquired on the 1st March 2020. Despite the challenging times, Place of Progress was able to persevere and has been providing young people with accommodation from the 23rd June 2020.  The start-up now has two semi-independent living spaces at full capacity and has recently taken on a third accommodation with the vision to grow to at least 117 properties by the end of 2021. It is clear that as an organisation, Place of Progress take responsibility for providing a safe space for young people. Not only do they achieve real results but as organisation they capture the evidence that proves it.

Place of Progress offers Semi-Independent supported housing for care leavers and OFSTED registered placements for families whose ability to respond to their children’s needs are being monitored and assessed.
