Niyah Smith’s story is one that people must hear! It is crucial for the world to see how one constructs a lane for themselves and the individuals that follow. Niyah was raised in a single parent home, growing up in Homerton, East London around surrounding crime and violence. Niyah was determined to earn good grades and make his mother proud. Although Niyah had no aspirations to be in the music industry as a child, he definitely always loved it considering his household adored the sounds of Reggae, Gospel, R&B and more. This led him to studying Music Business at college. As time went on, his hobbies were playing tennis to the point he even ended up coaching as a way to earn extra money whilst at college.
Due to unfortunate circumstances, Niyah ended up having to spend time away. This didn’t stop his drive to become somebody of importance, he created the best possible outcome from his situation. Niyah studied sound engineering & song writing as he participated in a music course. On top of that, he learned the skill of recording, finalising the recording process with a mix & master and learning new instruments although he was already a skilled pianist.
By the time Niyah came out, he changed his centre of attention and began his events management company Rich House Entertainment. To date, Rich House Ent has had multiple successful events including sold out appearances from artists such as Unknown T, Stefflon Don and his very own artist Shauna Shadae who’s under his management roster. The events helped Niyah branch out in terms of connections which helping him and his business grow. Niyah’s ongoing role as an Artist Manager continues to expand whilst he consults local talent and is the go-to person for talent scouting. Amidst the pandemic, Niyah continues to host events including his Music Business Seminar, held on Instagram featuring some of the industries highly regarded executives.
Furthermore, Niyah’s role of A&R Manager at 54 London gives him the ability to be experimental and progressive with his own artists and succeeding talent whilst setting the tone for his long-lasting career & achievements.
